Gaganjeet Bhullar’s solid 68 on the final day of the DLF Masters 2009
fetched him his fifth title of the 2009
Aircel-PGTI season. Bhullar’s
tournament total of 15 under 273 helped
him record a comprehensive five-stroke
win on 20 September 2009. The professional from
Kapurthala also set a record of sorts by
winning a title from each of his last
five starts on the Aircel-PGTI.
Gaganjeet took home the winner’s
cheque of Rs. 12,93,200 to overtake
Mukesh Kumar and become the leader on
the Aircel-PGTI Order of Merit. Anirban
Lahiri’s 66, the best round of the
day, helped him secure second place as
he totaled 10 under 278 for the
tournament. Jyoti Randhawa’s winning
streak on the Aircel-PGTI came to an end
since he ended the tournament in tied
fourth place at eight under 280.
Randhawa had five wins from five starts
on the Aircel-PGTI prior to the DLF
Masters 2009.
